EMERGENCY DESIGNER NETWORK

In March 2020, Phoebe English joined with London-based designers Holly Fulton and Bethany Williams and industry connector, Cozette McCreery to form the Emergency Designer Network (EDN) in response to the global Covid-19 pandemic that was to claim the lives of millions across the world.

This entirely volunteer-led network has galvanised local UK production to support medical stocks of key garments such as scrubs, masks and gowns, all vital items for the preventative treatment of the virus.

Working as an ongoing collective network of designers, the EDN continues to grow, expanding the network with sewers, garment workers and manufacturers who can support the endeavour.

We are still very much in the midst of this pandemic and the longterm effect on our healthcare systems and communities is unfathomable. Together, we can make a small-scale yet significant difference to this critical situation.

To support the EDN, consider donating here and email here to volunteer.
