This piece perfectly illustrates our bridal network, where we partner with various different bridal atelier’s and ask them to save their precious fabric waste. We then utilise this by-product and patchwork it together in various forms. When creating the crinkle series it takes almost a year to save up enough small pieces of exquisite silk to make a run of orders. Each garment is made from an array of silk pieces, ensuring that each item is entirely unique to itself. The matt and shiny side of each silk panel interplay against one another with the shadows created from the crinkle effect, giving deep texture. The crinkled surface pulls to the fit of the body and is constructed with fine stitched details using organic cotton thread.
In order to minimise waste and stick to our slow ideals we operate a ‘made to order’ process for this garment. It will be delivered to you 4-6 weeks from payment.
